WSA’s Personal Branding Month – Worskshop with Richard Frost

As part of the Women’s Sports Alliance ‘Personal Branding’ month, the WSA community tapped into the knowledge and experience of ex-Nike senior brand development manager, Richard Frost.

Jordan Guard, The WSA’s founder, spoke with Richard about the importance of personal branding in women’s sport and discussed a range of topics with the ultimate aim to help female athletes develop their personal brand in order to attract sponsorship deals from some of the world’s biggest brands.

Richard Frost said: “When asked to talk to the WSA the answer was of course yes!  If you’re lucky enough to work in Sport, then finding ways to support the progression of female athletes and coaches is critical. The world is turning itself on the opportunity, commercially and culturally, in women’s sport and it’s important to equip the next generation of leaders with the knowledge and resources to help make their game everything it can be.

“I hope that any athletes/coaches who listen to our discussion takes away the importance of understanding your brand value, being thoughtful with who you approach and how, and gets confidence from the fact that there are opportunities out there for everyone if you’re smart about it.”

WSA’s Founder & MD Jordan Guard added: “Tapping into Rich’s expertise was mind blowing. He has some great insights for female athletes in regards to developing a personal brand and I encourage everyone involved in women’s sport to listen to our conversation. It could change your career, that’s for sure!”
