WSA gets ready for its inaugural Global Summit & Awards Ceremony

12 Nov 2021

The Women’s Sports Alliance, part of the Cube International group, will host its inaugural Global Summit and Awards Celebration at the Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester on 15th December 2021.

The event is set to be one of the most celebratory events women’s sport has ever seen and will kick off with a Global Summit during the day, followed by an Awards Ceremony in the evening.

The Global Summit, in partnership with Major Events International (MEI), will consist of a series of industry expert guest speakers who will discuss the highs and lows of some of the biggest sporting events of the calendar year. Guests will enjoy teas, coffees and snacks served throughout the day, as well as a buffet lunch. The Summit will finish with a networking session.

The evening’s Awards Celebration will both champion individual women’s sports contributions and highlight some of the greatest achievements of the year. A welcome drink, three-course meal dinner, and some grand entertainment are all part of the evening. The evening will be hosted by Sky Sports Presenter, Laura Woods.

Jordan Guard, Founder and MD of the WSA, said: “The WSA’s mission is to ensure that priority, profile and platform are given to the aspiring, current and past women’s sports community. Through our inaugural Global Summit & Awards Celebration event, we will champion some of the most positive, celebratory and awe-inspiring achievements in the Women’s Sports Industry. Some of 2021’s high achievers will be in attendance and I can’t wait to witness the women’s sports community come together on this special occasion.”

Andy Moss, Cube International’s Chairman, added: “The Summit and the Awards are the highlight of the WSA’s year, shining a spotlight on the successes and achievements of individuals and teams, and celebrating the advancement and progress surrounding women’s sport. It also offers an opportunity to reflect and debate the challenges that still prevent true representation. On the 15th December we will be championing success and supporting change.”
