MEI Announces Cube International as Naming Rights Partner of the International Federations Summit

23 Mar 2021

Major Events International Ltd (MEI) today announced an innovative new partnership deal with Cube International to support host cities and the broader International Federation community.

Cube International will become the lead sponsor of MEI’s International Federations Summit, due to take place virtually on 21st and 22nd April 2021.

Cube plans to use the Summit to launch an exciting new global sports property as a hosting opportunity for cities around the world.

The partnership agreement with Cube entitles host cities interested in finding out more about the benefits of hosting major sporting or cultural events a free place at the Summit.

MEI specialise in helping commercial companies, government agencies and host organisations succeed in the global sports events market, through the deployment of a unique blend of integrated assets. The organisation provides access to key decision makers within the business of sport & major events, providing a single point of contact for advice, a local presence in host countries, access to key clients/suppliers, and general market profile.

“We are delighted to welcome Cube International as naming rights partner. As lead sponsor, Cube will help us continue the success of the International Federations Summit. Previously the event has been held in Lausanne and has been a melting pot of ideas for the world’s sports governing bodies to discuss how to mitigate risk, minimise cost and maximise revenues and reach. This year we are running a ‘campus’ of 18 intimate, defined, exclusive workshops to promote connectivity. The content will flow, but it will be determined by the agenda of those in the room. Cube sees this as a great opportunity to get closer to host cities and the rights holders they traditionally serve, whilst showcasing their expanding portfolio and sharing best practice with the industry on a global platform,” explained MEI’s COO Andy Rice.

For Cube International, a dynamic group of companies with core expertise in event services, infrastructure and overlay, and licensing, merchandise and retail, the partnership with MEI marks an expansion of its business activity into the development of global events.

Cube’s Chairman and founder, Andy Moss, added, “Cube strives to reimagine, empower and innovate. MEI clearly share this vision as they are introducing an innovative campus format to their International Federations Summit in April. As a group we like to challenge the norm, whether that be in the development of sport, meeting the threat of climate change or inspiring organisations and host cities to maximise the opportunities they are exploring. Through our summit partnership, we are not only able to demonstrate our commitment to sport, but also help launch the re-emergence of fans attending events and unleash the pent-up passion for live events.”

Cube’s partnership with MEI enables any host city or nation to join the summit at no charge. Sports properties and rights holders can do the same. For registration and full details click here.
