Cube Celebrates Partner Continest’s Expansion As Minister Opens New Factory In Hungary

26 Aug 2021

Cube’s senior management was thrilled to be celebrating in Hungary today with key manufacturing partner Continest as it officially opened its new factory in Székesfehérvár.

The new production plant will enable Continest to increase production capacity of its eco-friendly and highly innovative foldable portable container buildings. Cube’s Chairman, Andy Moss, and MD of Cube Modular, Brandon Weston, were delighted to attend as the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade officially opened the factory.

The Cube x Continest partnership is a major success story with both companies expanding rapidly despite the challenges of the recent economic climate. Cube is Continest’s international events partner and its UK and Ireland sole distribution partner.

Andy Moss, Cube’s Chairman, said: “It’s really exciting for us to be such a key part of the Continest story of innovation and sustainability. These unique foldable portable buildings help large-scale events minimise their carbon footprint in ways that were not possible before. It is not about offset, this is real reduction, which is imperative given the global climate emergency. The units have so many applications – it’s no wonder that we are seeing such an increase in demand for them.”

This summer Cube installed 16 retail fan shops at multiple venues across Europe for the EURO2020 football tournament. In the UK, 140 Continest foldable portable buildings were deployed earlier this month by Cube at the environmentally-conscious Formula E electric car racing event in London, boosting the event’s eco-credentials through the extensive CO2 emission savings made in transporting the units folded flat.
