The Role

JOB TITLE: Merchandiser

REPORTING TO: Merchandising Manager

Due to Cube’s rapid growth, an opportunity has arisen for a Merchandiser to work across Cube Partnership’s portfolio of licensed sports businesses. The role will be responsible for developing, planning, and delivering a commercially focused range alongside the product team. You will act as the merchandising point of contact for specific accounts within Cube Partnership and will support and advise the Business Directors to achieve the budgeted sales figure.

We are a fast-growing business in the sports, ecommerce and retail world and this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of Cube’s merchandising department whilst working with some of the biggest names in the sporting world.

Responsibilities

  • Analysing sales trends across allocated partner accounts
  • Collaborate with the Product team and Business Directors on range planning advising of SKU counts, budget roll ups, margins etc
  • Contribute to trading meetings with budget updates, sales data and any concerns around best and worst sellers
  • Work with the e-commerce team on stock availability for marketing emails, social media campaigns, planned events and ad hoc events
  • Own the product set up process for new lines entering the business across internal systems
  • Liaise with Finance and suppliers in the creation of PO’s
  • Maintaining the delivery schedules and advise of any amends
  • Manages key WSSI data
  • Ensure that the buy matches the plan
  • Suggests markdowns in line with the budget
  • Managing any OTB budget

The Candidate

  • 2+ years’ experience within a merchandising environment
  • Ideally, experience of trading a range of products through the buying cycle
  • Experience within a fast-paced retail environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of Excel
  • A self-starter prepared to work on own initiative and own the accounts assigned
  • Ability to work in a young company, building structures and processes through rapid growth
  • Flexible approach to responsibilities and workload willing to collaborate with other teams to get the job done
  • A great team-player with a can-do, positive attitude
  • Flexible working schedule but weekends and overnights will be required at times
  • Prepared to spend time on-the-road at key event times
