The Role
JOB TITLE: CAD Overlay Technician
LOCATION: Cube HQ in Worcester
HOURS: 40 hours per week
Due to Cube International’s exceptional growth, we are looking to recruit a CAD Overlay Technician to join the Cube Management team.
The ideal candidate will be a designer with strong AutoCAD 2D skills and will have worked in a technical design or engineering environment previously.
As a CAD overlay technician, you will be responsible for liaising with our project managers to create accurate product technical drawings, site layouts and overlays for Cube’s event and modular building infrastructure.
This is a fantastic opportunity based at our brand-new premises in Broomhall, Worcester. You’ll be joining a strong and stable growing company in a highly varied and interesting role where you will be well treated and can improve your skills.

Essential Requirements
- Experience using AutoCAD software (2 years)
- An understanding of ‘Overlay’ requirements
- Proficient IT skills- Word, Excel, Outlook etc
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- A positive attitude and a real commitment to teamwork
- A high level of common sense
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage simultaneous jobs
Desirable Requirements
- Design minded with knowledge/experience of construction
- Experience in temporary infrastructure (portable buildings, marquees, and event facilities)
- Knowledge of building regulations & British Standards
- Experience with 3d CAD software or willing to learn 3d CAD and visualisation software. (not required but highly desirable)
- Knowledge of CDM regulations
