The Role

JOB TITLE: Accounts Assistant

REPORTING TO: Finance Manager

LOCATION: Cube HQ in Worcester (20% work from home)

HOURS: 40 hours per week

Due to exceptional growth, we are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join our expanding business. With outstanding communication skills, you will work within our Finance team, and liaise with our four main companies.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Checking, verifying & correctly coding all incoming invoices on the system
  • Maintaining all invoices and ensuring all supplier statements reconciled on Xero
  • Assisting with Sales ledger and Purchase Ledger processing and administration
  • Importing invoices onto Xero
  • Matching invoices to correct account
  • Raising and resolving invoice queries or missing invoices
  • Chasing suppliers where required for information and query resolution
  • Administration and control of expense claims and credit card reconciliations
  • Data cleansing

Other Duties

    Undertake other reasonable duties, commensurate with the post and as directed by Finance Manager from time to time

    Ensure compliance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 by complying with internal information governance policies and maintaining up to date documentation as part of compliance programme

    Person Specification

    Essential

    • Experience in a similar role in a growing, fast paced organisation
    • Well organised and self sufficient
    • Numerate, methodical and accurate
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Confident and competent with IT systems

    Preferred

    • Comprehensive experience of Windows Excel, Outlook, and Word
    • Experience of using Xero Accounting Software
    • Excellent team player
